The Odyssey Tour

A journey of discovery and adventure giving you to the views and tastes of Lakeland, this tour will give you an insight of the Lake District's Food and Drink, its culture, history, and the people who have given inspiration to the Lakes.

Itinerary of the Tour: Full Day Tour:
After we your pick up from your hotel, we take you on a tour through the Lake District to the northern Town of Cockermouth, birthplace of William Wordsworth and home to the Jennings Brewery company, where you will have a guided tour of the brewery and sample some of the local beers they have to offer. Following this, we drive along the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake, the only true lake in the Lake District, to the old Market town of Keswick for lunch and the birthplace of the Pencil.

From Keswick we take a drive to Grasmere, to sample some of the finest Gingerbread and visit the resting place of William Wordsworth. From Grasmere we head to Skelwith Bridge where we find Kirkstone Slate and a short walk to a 15 ft waterfall on the river Brathay. And finally we rendezvous at Coniston with a rich history of speed records, philosophy, mining and fine ales. From Coniston we take a relaxing drive back to your hotels.
